Short break with family in Mallorca. Bit chilly but nice trip. Villa great but honestly could have used central heating (if knew how to work it)! Had car so got about and, as per usual, ate well! Dad and Mum benefited from increased sunshine later in week, in sheltered spots!... read more

Visiting Mallorca Honeymoons are peculiar things. For one, I have noticed that they should be done immediately after the wedding. I always thought this was a bit mad, trying to go off on vacation (imagine how much preparation that takes normally, when one is NOT even getting married!) and then trying to enjoy yourself after all the stress of planning a major event. However, I am wrong. Honeymoons should most definitely be had after the wedding, this is when I felt most in love and happy, I spent the whole week at work really wanting to get home and see Dzl so I realized quite quickly why people go on honeymoons right away, and spend money, you just want to relax, be together and think about nothing else. Cue Mallorca. Now our 'honeymoon' is actually planned ... read more

Our First Day Dear all. We are finally here, in our hotel room and in serious need of rest. It has been a very long day of travelling, plagued by small children crying for literally hours on the plane and the bus. The hotel is great, really big and grand and we are on the fifth floor, which would be great if the lifts worked... but you cant have it all i suppose. As you will see in the pictures I have added so far, the room is very comfortable adn upon drawing back some sliding doors along the side of the room, we discovered it has a really well appointed kitchenette as well... First thing first, siesta! (apt as that is the name of the hotel) After our nap, we are just about to go ... read more

After I finally was on the train I managed to calm down a bit. In the back of my mind I kept thinking about the fact that I had left everything I own here in suitcases in a strange place. However, I did get over that once I made it to Luton Airport. We had little problems getting to Mallorca. Our first evening in Palma consisted of sangria and tapas at a local plaza. Mallorca has been around for centuries. It was invaded by the Romans, and later the Arabs - it actually has Arab baths. What I found the most interesting about the city was looking at a catherdral on one side, and then turning around and seeing the Mediterranean Sea with its bluegreen waters and resort type buildings. Downtown Palma was adorable ... sunny ... read more

Mallorca liegt bereits zur Hälfte hinter mir. Alles lief gerade mal in normalen Bahnen.

Buenos tardes!

Mallorca. We flew into Mallorca which is one of the spainish islands after going to Defqon1 festival on the weekend. We were excited for the sun and the beach and doing nothing else. It was our first stop in Spain and we were looking forward to things being a bit cheaper. For the most part we weren't disappointed. Beer was 2 euro for a six pack for really nice cervesas, food was also dirt cheap in the bigger supermarkets. Even the "rip off" restaurants along the beach were cheap compared most of Western Europe. We spent our first night in this tiny little room which was horrible. We thought the whole hotel would be like this but we changed the next night into our proper room. The owner was really nice and apologetic about the whole ... read more

Kaerlige hilsner Split og besaetning... read more
