Hello everyone! We arrived safely after our flight from Toronto to Barbados, then on to Tobago, and then Grenada after the sun set. There was a workers strike in Barbados so we were a bit late getting away. On the plane ride down I sat between a Trinidadian and a woman from Barbados who talked about the merits of silver fish and jack fish. The Caribbean from the air is a beautiful sight and so I took some pictures from the plane. After checking in and out of immigration in Barbados, we even had a tourist rep meet us in Grenada. I love Telescope Beach; it has been my favourite place to be for a month. 5 minutes down Beach Road and I’m there. The locals don’t seem to think to highly of it and some say it is dirty compared to the golden sands of Gran Anse Beach in St Georges, where all the tourists go, or Bath way Beach where all the Grenadines go for BBQs and family days out. Telescope suits me fine, it’s local, beautiful to me and most importantly it’s shallow. In the past it was known for its beauty but since the 60´s /70´s (I think) [View Full Entry]

Two weeks into my trip and I am finally ready to do this blog thing. So far so good, I've been chilling out and climatising at my folks house in St Andrews, Grenada. It's been very relaxing, swimming in the sea everyday, eating mangoes like it's going out of fashion and eating fresh fish like a local. So far I've been mostly liming with our next door neighbours, Grenadian soca stars Tiger T and Gary 'Stadium' Williams. They've been great, giving us joke, fetes and the insiders knowledge.
