Left the lakes and arrived in the Tyrol region of Austria! decided to stay near the border of Liechtenstein, in a town called Feldkirch coz the hostel was cheaper! haaaaa! On the train ride there, the sky was beautiful and the mountains and villages were very nice to look at. Then, went through a tunnel for about 5 mins, came back out and FOGFOGFOG! Visibility level became 100metres!!!! OMG.......and the whole evening was glooomy. I HATE RAINRAINRAINRAINRAINRAIN! ok, not the Korean singer nor the HK popstar... Was just planning to stay in Hallstatt, but since the weather was so bad, decided to go run through two lakes instead. Hallstatt, is this VERY TINY village that is listed in UNESCO....for its beauty? for, I got there, the train station is on the other side of the lake so I had to take a boat across. So, getting advice from my CS host, there is this beautiful lake and moutain area call Königsee.....and its closer from Salzburg than the big cities in Germany, so there I went! Beautiful lake...I didn't expect that many tourist but, oh well. nothing I can do. I started out not too late but still didn't really haev much time so I did the LAZY tour.... suprisingly not too overwhelmed ...at least didnt feel it..with tourist that is. Short walk from the train station and reached the old town. beautiful gardens and buildings. The castle up the hill was not very visually attractive though, so I didn´t go up. but walked around town and it was nice! The town is only kinda famous for Mozart.......but some reason, I am not too into classical music so was not tempted at all to listen to the concerts....I know I will yawn in them after the first piece is done..haaa. Beautiful day. the tour forgot about me. I was the only one going from my hostel... so they picked me up late. got on the van and it was a tour of complete Aussies.........!!! even the guide!!! Anyways, fun group!! Drove to this winery that started in 1008!!!! OMG!!!! and a year ago closed down coz of poor management!! but left a legacy of good wine behind......and we were finishing the last of them!!! Headed out for Graz pretty late........ Got there and its nice they had info and maps available at the train office even though there is no tourist info centre!!! They should do that to all cities!!! Anyways, was lazy to walk....in a pretty calm mood...... So, took the tram to town and accidentially came across the largest weapon collection in Europe at the armory museum! So somewhere I read that Vienna was the big apple of Europe.....hummm... The night train was nice first of all. 6-bed couchette, 5 passengers, slept early and got up for breakfast! They actually had breakfast included with the ticketprice!....haa.. Got there and got to my hostel. Nice one! big one as well, since it is one of the most popular ones in Vienna. So I got to Berlin and after a little dis-connected communication, I managed to find the host I was staying with! Well, before that, I got a whole morning after the night train and it was raining in Berlin!!!! was about to hide in the Internet cafe when I saw this ad for FREE WALKING TOURS! nothing better to do so decided to walk with the tour even though its raining....well, at least it was light showers and now like..pouring..=) Showed up at 11am and got into the tour. Ok, this palce reminds me of Sevilla.....during Feria de Abril.....except more Englishman and beeeeeer! Well, first, left Füssen, got to Munich, lucky enough to have grabbed a locker before they were all taken..and headed out to the city! No map....so wandered in the wrong direction until I stormed into a hostel and stole one of their guidebooks with maps! haaaaa Then found the tourist info....didn't get much out of it and left lu. Walked towards the old town first.....long shopping district like all other ones.. Didn't go into the places except the churches.......quite nice ne!!! Hohenschwangau & Neuschwanstein! Two beautiful castles situated near Füssen..... They are called the fairy-tale swan castles...well, I would say Neuschwanstein looks like it but the other not so. Anyways, took the bus to the H Castle first, a little walk and I got there.....got a guided tour and the interior was alright...not anything too amazing... Then walked through the woods to the N Castle. and this one was much more beautiful (to me at least)...the interior had lots of wall paintings which I didnt like much, but all the wood carvings were amazing!!!!
