So joined this food tour around Bordeaux today, and it was actually more than fooood! The guide brought us to the different places around town and explained some stuff about the buildings and things as well! quite informative and interesting! Found out the whole city was demolished and rebuilt in the 18th cent. so most buildings are either Louis XV or Louis XVI style! haaa and you can tell the difference by looking at the way they decorate above the windows....coooool! Southern France is cold!!! highest 9 degreesss! OK, VERY PISSED BY THE TRAIN STRIKE THAT HAPPENED OVERNIGHT.....so this blog is very...mad. and I got a whole week of Switz backtrack blog coming....haaaa! So, first day in France was ok. wellwell, since Internet was so expensive around...never got to write and now.. lets see... Bern! The capital but its small! but also met Kristine and her flatmates! very great people! Arrived in Zurich and met Kristine, my CS host there! She lives in this very very fancy apartment!!!! haaaaa I arrived in the evening so at night she brought me out to see some fancy bars...(I wasnt dresed well enough to actually dare to walk in!) and we just walked in a smaller one for drinks... Got to Lugano and stayed with these American and one Austrian student! Theyare a bunch of great people!! There werent much to see around town. I just strolled around during the day..beautiful place tho! Its so weird this part of Switzerland speaks Italian...I never knew Italian was spoken in Switz! haaa Anyways, At night they have this big student party...ohh..it was fun! lots of Mojitos! and Megan did a great job making them!!!!!! Arrived late at night in Milan so went straight to the hostel. This morning got up, met a Korean girl living in Sweden and travelled around with her for the day. Was gonna mail a back of my stuff home....so was wandering around for the post-office... but..11am....everywhere is SO DEAD!!! Thought it was a post-halloween thing, but didnt realize it was a national holiday till we got to the post-office!!!! Left Lucca and went straight to take a train to Florence. This was a disgusting train ride!!!! crap. so, couldnt find the 1st class cabin so went to 2nd class. So, woke up and it was POURING. expected to view things little greyer than usual.... and I didnt bother to change my plans to go to Lerici since, I realize..it would be the same if I went anywhere else anyways.... So, got on the train to Viareggio..... then had to wait an hour for the train to La Spezia....which happened to be delayed for 45 mins!!!!! ARGH... all this waiting time!!!!!! So night train arrived in Pisa, early 6:50 in the morning!!! Walked out and it was..peaceful. very nice!!! Anyways, headed into town and of course, wanted to see the Piazza od Miracles! The town is nice.....cross the river...headed into the dead shopping street, the market was just starting to open up and you see people and the city waking up!!! haaa...
