We were treated like princesses at the Royal Akershus Hall in Norway in the World's Showcase at Epcot. The girls were all dressed up & looked so adorable! They all had their autograph books and upon entering the Royal Hall, we had a photo opt with Belle. The pictures that were professionally taken are pretty stunning. We were told by the time our lunch was over our pics would be delivered in a frame to our table. Lunch consisted of a 3 entree meal; appetizers from a buffet which included smoked salmon, shrimp, fresh salmon, salad bar, deli meat & antipasto bar, with cheese etc. I ... read more

So this is a follow up with the incident with Rory at Epcot. I didn't mean to scare anyone (sorry Celine; I got your message!) Obviously I hoped you all knew if I was still sending blogs, Rory was OK. So note to grandparents, Rory is fine, all grandkids are fine...Mickey Mouse sends his love too. On Monday we went to Animal Kingdom, followed by us gals attending a pre-arranged "princess" lunch & story book telling session at Epcot. Overall it was fabulous despite the incident. Hiya Toots! Aw phooey! (Memorable Donald Duck sayings!) Holy Donald Duck we're having so much fun it should be illegal! Well for the most part it's been a great time, but holy shmoly, since we got here we keep marching along almost like programmed toy soldiers. Every day we wake up early, run into the walls, have breakfast, pack, brush our teeth and get in the van & hit the parks, sometimes 2 parks in 1 day. We seem to take a lickin but keep on tickin but you do feel like you are running on empty some days. Tired (getting up early), sore feet, sore hips (even the kids!). We are having a wonderful time and Al & I talked about this last night that it's mostly because we're all together as a family, just doing fun family things all day long (And so far no major meltdowns, no fights, it's almost like we've all been hit with a "happy stick"). And Linda & Henry (if you read this) what a great trip with you and your family! Arithmetic is being able to count up to 20 without having to take off your shoes. Mickey Mouse Epcot. WOW! One of THE most stunning places to come upon. You drive up and see this huge 180 foot tall spaceship earth sphere at the entrance to the park which takes your breath away. Al remembers seeing a picture of it as a kid and he COULD NOT believe he was standing under it, finally after all those years. (Awww Al!) And at night it's even more impressive if you can believe. OMG. This place is mesmerizing once you walk through the gates.
