"Once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale." ~ It's warm today, sunny with a light breeze, a zippidy-doo-da day. We were up early to get to Epcot and then tonight will do Magic Kingdom; it's open till 11 and of course the Wishes Nighttime Spectacular/Christmas fireworks. We'll probably just take the monorail right in MK from Epcot, then circle back for a double fireworks show.
Epcot is a bit quieter today and to see it all during the day is fantastic. There are lots of street shows today in each country; I just saw an Italian juggler that was out of this world. Right now we have stopped in Italy overlooking the lake to enjoy lunch and a beverage. For those that love a glass of bubbly or Lemoncello, they have drink kiosks at every corner.
Being back at Epcot reminds me of a heart stopping incident that could've been tragic for Rory on Monday during the Princess lunch. Just a rare freaky moment that probably rarely happens...but tah dah...it did. I still shake when I think about it.
I tell you, there's never and I mean
never a dull minute.
Right now though it's 1:24 and we are waiting to go on the Test Track here; your design your own virtual car and put it through its paces..apparently it's quite cool. We've done lots in the last few days including Soaring this morning at Epcot. We'll tell you about the rest of our day later over a glass of bubbly!!
Ciao (goodbye in Italian!)
PS some good suggestions today from a few of you who read the blogs!
Great to catch the blog, Sal...say hi to Al, Linda, Henry and kids...we did the same tour last year and completely understand the feeling of happiness, coupled with exhaustion! Shauna and I kept muttering, "it's the happiest place on earth"... We loved Downtown Disney - if you get a minute, take in a movie at the AMC there...they serve you a 3 course meal in your seat while you watch your favorite flick!!! We saw the hobbit and eat steak and seafood last year at Christmas - surreal!!! Have an amazing holiday - its the happiest place on earth (until the VISA bill arrives)....no so happy then. Hugs and best, Derrick and the Dominoes hi Sally; so glad to see you're all having so much fun. enjoy the 70+ degree weather. we have snow Snow and more SNOW here in the north. ugh. just a reminder to check out Universal City Walk if possible. you don't need to pay to get into the park- it's sort of like downtown disney for universal- shops/fun & restaurants. I would recommend Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville restaurant. we had dinner there twice while in Orlando- the fish & chips are awesome and the visuals are lots of fun. enjoy. (Cindy; Philadelphia)
