Le 25 août 2023, C'est avec un peu d'appréhension qu'on envisage notre 2e journée à Magic Kingdom. On espère que cette fois, les prévisions concernant l'achalandage seront exactes... Les sites spécialisés prédisent une journée très calme dans ce parc, on espère que cette fois, ils auront raison. On entre dans le parc à 9:00, en sautant encore une fois le early-entry. On constate aussitôt que la foule est beaucoup, beaucoup plus dispersée que lors de notre première visite, on a de l'espace pour circuler et respirer, c'est nettement plus agréable. Grâce à notre premier Genie Plus de la journée, on embarque sans attendre (et sans mes parents), dans la montagne russe intérieure Space Mountain. Ça brasse pas mal! Le 21 août 2023, La nuit n'est pas très reposante. Je suis fébrile, on commence notre périple en famille à Disney. Un peu avant 7:00, je réserve un Genie Plus pour tout le monde... Mais qu'est-ce qu'un Genie Plus? Il s'agit d'un système de fast-pass valide pour la journée entière permettant, grosso-modo, de réserver des attractions à toutes les 2 heures pour y accéder dans une file réduite plutôt que par la file régulière... Naturellement, ce n'est pas donné mais comme Disney sera un 'one and done' pour nous, on se dit (et on espère) que ça en vaudra la dépense. À 7:00 pile, je peux réserver ma première heure de passage Genie Plus. Je jette mon dévolu sur la populaire montagne russe Slinky Dog Dash. How do you plan a Disney trip or any trip? I usually start with deciding the dates because you can't book a flight or hotel room without a date. However, sometimes that is not the case. Sometimes you need to start with knowing what the expenses is going to be first. How much does plane tickets cost? The hotel. How much are you willing to spend for this trip. How much do you need to save per pay check to afford this trip. How long do you need to save so you will have enough money. Disney World offers such fabulous resorts. We've learned to always plan a "resort day" when we go to Disney World. This is a day where we get to recover a bit from all the walking (I hit over 28,000 steps yesterday!), and we can also enjoy our resort amenities. For Joanna, this meant we did a lot of swimming today! We're staying in the Little Mermaid rooms at Art of Animation, and this section has its own pool. It's smaller than The Big Blue Pool in the center of the resort. We've spent time swimming in the Little Mermaid pool already, so, this morning, after breakfast, we decided to check out The Big Blue Pool. In January 2020, just before the pandemic hit, my friends and I began planning a girls' weekend at Disney World for October. It was going to be us and our daughters. I was so excited for that trip, but then came COVID-19.... ...No one knew how long the pandemic would last. So, we kept our trip booked until the last day for almost-free cancelations. Disney allows people to cancel up to 30 days before a trip, and you get a full refund on your room or package. Unfortunately, we didn't purchase a package. We bought our tickets separately, and those were non-refundable. Disney extended the expiration date by nearly a year, and our tickets are set to expire in September 2021.
