i have my own group that we call PexersLibotPinas Club............ we usually make travel plans during summer or whenever there's promo from PAL, cebupacific or whatever............... last summer me and some of my groupmates went to puerto princessa, palawan and pandan island/apo reef and this year it was coron, palawan.............. and once again i was amazed by how beautiful the philippines is......... the photos says it all right? coron island is postcard perfect, another one of the most scenic places in my country.......... stunning vertical limestone cliffs dropping directly into the ocean in beautiful lagoons............ coron island is a protected area declared as a tourist zone and marine reserve by the philippine government..................it is recognized as an ancestral domain of the ta... read more

macau for a $1? holy cow, macau! when i travel i don't just go to that place to visit the tourist spots.......... or just to capture everything that caught my eye on camera................... it isn't just admiring the place.........it isn't just collecting coins or ref magnets ................ it's experiencing the culture, rubbing elbows with the locals, getting lost and finding your way AND! most importantly, tasting the food! macanese food is characterized by the spiciness of portuguese cuisine, the dominant use of paprika, curry powder and the like...quite an interesting combination...a combination of chinese and portugues cuisine...uh-huh, east meets west... .... here are some of the food i tried while in macau......... did you know that i got my roundtrip airfare to macau for $1? yes, you ... read more

i was at pandan island and apo reef last may 27 until 29, (eherm, officemates, if you're reading this i was sick last friday ok? :P).............. we left pandan island on sunday at 10am and we arrived manila at 9pm............... the meeting place was at wendy's buendia at 1:45am, friday................. we were the last one to arrive at the meeting place (it was american idol's fault :P) ................... by 2am we were already inside the bus................ we reached batangas pier by 4:30am, boarded the ferry to abra de ilog at 5am and reached abra de ilog at 7am............. then we ate breakfast while we were waiting for the bus that would take us to sablayan............... abra de ilog to sablayan is a 3-hour bus ride so we reached sablayan at 11:45am................... upon arrival at sablayan, ... read more



Luzon trip Adventure

see that curvy red line? that's how far we travelled last last weekend.................. i was on a luzon trip adventure with my officemates last weekend (march 14-16)...................... it was a last minute plan really, so we all need to go home first to pack our things (oops! except for E--hi E!)..................... we left manila at 1:00am -saturday and we were back 12:30am - tuesday.............. our target destination was really pagudpud, but we did a side trip also to vigan and claveria, cagayan.................. it was fun!!! details.....details.... stop overs our first stop was at la union to have our breakfast, next was at the bridge's view deck (the bridge connecting ilocos sur and ilocos norte).................... then we decided to have our lunch at vigan (that was my third time to see vigan)........................ took a lot of pictures ... read more

look at that picture..... new zealand? no. batanes? no. (but that's in my wishlist) that's the crater of mt. pinatubo........ it was a long weekend and so we decided to see mt. pinatubo last friday until saturday for another photoshoot............... so equipped w/ our camera gears, tent and some food, off we went for our long weekend lakwatsa con photoshoot.......... it's a 3-hour trek but if you want a shorter trek you need to hire a 4x4 to take you to the shorter route and will cut your trek from 3 hours to an hour......... it was very tiring........ we have to crisscross the river, balance on some rocks........... i'm not into mountain climbing really, but someone told me that the trek is not so difficult compared to sagada and that the trail is not steep ... read more

was in tagaytay last weekend for an appointment with nurture spa (finally!)............................. i tried their heavenly flower soak spa .................................... the experience was ok.................................... it's like having The Spa's javanese royal bath's pricey version, i still prefer The Spa's javanese royal bath though......................................... it also includes a massage, a body scrub, a body wrap (theirs is yoghurt) and ofcourse the flower soak ................... since my appointment was not until 2pm, i decided to leave for tagaytay very early in the morning to maximize the travel time i'll spend............... and because i was there early (9am) i decided to visit the famous church in nasugbu, batangas (a 3-min drive from the "welcome to nasugbu" arch and 10-min drive from tagaytay's boundary) called calaruega.......... after w... read more

my mom is a full-blooded cebuana while my father is a full-blooded tagalog, so that makes me a half cebuana-half tagalog.......... i am so proud of my mom's hometown, cebu and i would love to live here if given a chance............. cebu is known as the queen city of the south................... living here is like having both worlds (that's why i'd love to live here).................. cebu is now a modern metropolis that leads the south in commerce and industry and at the same time famous to an array of historical finds, white sand beaches and dive sites......................... it is also known for it's colorful fiesta called "sinulog" (they celebrated sinulog just last jan 14-17)............... sinulog is a dance ritual in honor of the miraculous image of the santo niƱo (more info on sinulog) cebu is also ... read more

are we there yet? we left on a friday night to catch the manila-banaue autobus (+63 2 736-2831, 735-8096, fare at that time is 342.00)............ the travel time to banaue took longer than we expected because the bus we were in suffered from overheat condition................ we arrived at banaue in the late morning of saturday............ there were no longer jeeps that would take us to bontoc ( these jeeps are only available at specific times and our bus arrived way too late)when we got to banaue so we just hired a van to take us to bontoc (2 1/2 hours).............. but before we head to bontoc our driver took us to some view sites of the rice terraces at banaue and he dropped us to a restaurant somewhere in banaue so we could eat our lunch.................. ... read more
