Our first official full day in Playa! Up early to stroll the miles and miles of white sandy beach. Playa is considered having the best beaches in the world, and oh the beautiful blue/turquoise color of the Caribbean is so beautiful & almost hard to describe if you haven't seen it. It was considered a cool day by Playa standards but for us lily-skinned snowbirds it felt warm enough. The girls played in the ocean, while mom (Sal) enjoyed her first ever margarita at 11 am...like they say, it's noon somewhere in the world!! The only reward to getting up @ 2:30 in the *&@# bleeping morning is a tropical vacation...Rush to get everyone out the door, do a quick head count. Al, Sal, Mom, Lara, Rory...?? Run back in, carry Ava out. Do another head count again...Run back in, carry Martha out... God that one was frigging strenuous. (Sorry Martha.) Hee Haw. Poor Al, shame to wake him when he was just coming to bed! (My lad is a night owl. Or is it a night 'Al'?) He kindly got us to the airport & gently peeled out to get home for a few more zzzzzzzzzzz's. No females in the house for 2 weeks...I'm sure I heard a loud "yahoo" somewhere???
