After our short stay in Newcastle we decided to let the kids loose on Port Macquarie for three days. We arrived quite early due to the roads being better the further north we have come. It took us 5 hours to drive 250 km earlier in the week and we did the same distance in 3 hours with a toilet stop. I couldn’t work out why until Chloe pointed out the speeds that I had been doing, the hand marks in the door handle and the fact that she was white as a sheet. Newcastle...... well we were warned..... We arrived in the rain and it was grey and everything seemed shut..... we managed to find the local I site to see if we could find a hotel. Maybe we weren't looking very hard but there were very few. We ended up finding a place on the edge of town I slept for a few hours, we had dinner... we went to bed.... We have no pics... We spent 2 nights in Wollongong. Mainly as we realised our cars tyres were bordering on illegal and also because the 250km drive from Bega took a lot longer than we had expected it would. We stopped at Batemans Bay on the way up for lunch, Which had a great beach, but the weather wasn't to good and we wanted to get on. There isn't alot there in fact writting this now a few days later I find it's hard to remember.... Hello Ellie here but daddy is typing. We arrived on Tuesday night had dinner and went to bed. The next day we went to watch granddad play tennis. Then we went to bed. Mummy and daddy left on Thursday to go to Melbourne. It took them 8 hours to get there. We had arranged for my mum to look after the girls so that Chloe and I could have some personal time together and so that we could go and see Priscilla queen of the desert the musical. Well that’s not entirely true. The original idea was to go for a drive along the great ocean road to see the twelve apostles. I saw them ten years ago and thought they were fantastic along with the entire ocean ravaged coastline in that area. Well that was Canberra…????? We went out for a meal on Wednesday night with a work collegue who bought us a fantastic Indian meal. Well worth visiting with a great view over the harbour bridge and opera house. It's called the harbourside and is on walker street, just off of lavender st. round the corner from the Milson point train station. We got back late in the dark and found this spider sitting on the back of the car. The girls were really scared. I took this picture and sent it to a few people we decided that it was a huntsman. After lots of time chillin' in Sydney we actually got the chance to drive up to the Blue Mountains. Main reason being that we left our lovely flat in North Bondi at 10am. We drove along the Parramatta road toward the mountains. It actually took us longer to get out of Sydney than it did to get to Wentworth falls. When we arrived it was just starting to spit a little. Well it was bound to happen...I'm afraid we have ground to a halt... we have spent the last few days in our lovely flat/unit/apartment.. here in North Bondi.... not getting up till lunch and doing sweet FA!!!! I think we are all worn out!!! but can you blame us..??.....
