We had arranged for my mum to look after the girls so that Chloe and I could have some personal time together and so that we could go and see Priscilla queen of the desert the musical. Well that was Canberra…????? We went out for a meal on Wednesday night with a work collegue who bought us a fantastic Indian meal. Well worth visiting with a great view over the harbour bridge and opera house. It's called the harbourside and is on walker street, just off of lavender st. round the corner from the Milson point train station. After lots of time chillin' in Sydney we actually got the chance to drive up to the Blue Mountains. Main reason being that we left our lovely flat in North Bondi at 10am. We drove along the Parramatta road toward the mountains. It actually took us longer to get out of Sydney than it did to get to Wentworth falls. When we arrived it was just starting to spit a little. Well it was bound to happen...I'm afraid we have ground to a halt... we have spent the last few days in our lovely flat/unit/apartment.. here in North Bondi.... not getting up till lunch and doing sweet FA!!!! After a much needed lie in we drove to the opera house car park, don't think we'll being doing that again as it was $42 for the day. After lots of ooohhhhing at the opera house and harbour bridge we went and got on the ferry round to Darling Harbour. We are now planted in North Bondi. We were given an internet site (www.stayz.com.au) by a friend of Chloe's. We found the place we are at on the site. It is much nicer than a hotel room and also a hell of a lot cheaper. We arrived after a sightseeing detour of Sydney. We went south out of the airport instead of north. Ellie here but Daddy's typing. On Sunday we went to a theme park called Dreamworld. The first ride that we went on was called runaway reptar. It was orange and green, your legs hangout the bottom. It wasn't very fast and a bit rickety but we liked it. Aisha went on the Dora the explorer seaplanes cos she doesn't like rollercoasters. We then went to Tiger Island. They have got some Benal tigers. We saw the show that included the keepers throwing meat around to get the tigers to do certain things. said that these are normal behaviour for the tigers. Well we are now at Nikki's, Russ's sisters. It was sad to leave New Zealand, but it was hard work always being on the move and we are now having a much needed rest.... It was with some reluctance that we left Dunedin. I really liked the place, it had a real old city type vibe and some of the architecture was fantastic, very reminiscent of London in places. We had got our days wrong slightly, the original plan was to break the journey from Dunedin to Christchurch in two. Then we realised that there was only two nights left. Oh well.
