Southwest New Mexico & Southeast Arizona - Oct, 2015

In October of 2015, we returned to the southwestern US to hike in an area we had not been to before. We visited White Sands National monument near Alamogordo, New Mexico and Chiricahua National Monument in the Chiricahua Mountains in the extreme southeastern corner Arizona called the "Boot heel". This will be a somewhat shorter posting than for some of our previous trips simply because it seems that we did less and saw fewer sights worthy of mention. Nevertheless, it was a worthwhile trip with a couple of rewarding hikes and visits to memorable places.

I'll give a brief rundown of the whole trip on the first page and follow with a page of pictures from New Mexico and another with a few from Arizona.
