SHANGHAI: May 14th- On this day we arrived in the bustling city of Shanghai. We met our tour guide Wendy, who took us to our hotel and got us checked in...and then the rest of the day was ours. After grabbing a quick bite to eat at KFC, we did a little exploring on our own. This afternoon we arrived in Guilin and met our new tour guide, Angela, at the airport. Angela took us to our hotel, and also recommended a great sushi place for dinner that night, as well as an an AMAZING place we could go to get really cheap massages! May 10th- On this day we traveled from Beijing to Xi'an, and we arrived there later that afternoon. Once in Xi'an, we were picked up and introduced to our next tour guide, Emily. Emily took us to our hotel and got us checked in, and then we were on our own. That night we found a delicious restaurant down the street, with a nice mixture of spicy Chinese food and sashimi. BEIJING: May 6th- We arrived in Beijing late in the evening and met our Beijing tour guide, Michael, who ended up being the coolest tour guide of our entire trip! Michael and our driver then took us to our hotel, which was only minutes away from Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. We got some rest before the first big day of our tour! Hi everyone! This blog is about my brother Danny's visit to S. Korea and all of the fun things we did. We definitely ran ourselves ragged because we did so much while he was here, but we had a WONDERFUL time! Hello all, In April, myself, Larry, and our friends Ben & Kim, decided to go to a big traditional Korean festival down on the southern coastline: The Jindo Mysterious Sea-Parting Festival. This world-famous festival occurs only once a year, when the sea parts and reveals a path the length of 2.8 kilometers and the width of 40 meters. It is exposed between Hoedong-ri, Gogun-myeon and Modo-ri, Uisin-myeon because of the tide differences in the morning and evening.
