Hi all, Here's the 2nd part you've all been waiting for....Ok, maybe you've haven't all been sitting by your computer waiting, but you know you've been at least thinking about our next Australia blog - part 2! Here it is! On the day that we flew into Melbourne from Sydney, we went straight to Charlotte's to drop off our luggage, relax, and wait for her to come home from work. For those of you who don't know, Charlotte is another friend from Tokyo Disneyland...and yes, also a former, fellow "Ariel" as well. Anyway, when she got home that night, we all [View Full Entry]

Hello Everyone! Our latest blog is from our trip to Australia, which took place a few weeks back in February. We had quite a nice long vacation in February due to Seol-nal (the Korean Lunar New Year), and so we got to spend a couple weeks traveling in Sydney and Melbourne. But, because we had SOOOO many pictures from this trip, we decided to do 2 Australia blogs....this one being the first: Our trip to Sydney! When we arrived at Sydney's airport one Sunday morning, we were warmly greeted by Sophie and her "mum" (hehe) at the gate. Sophie was a [View Full Entry]

Hello everyone! We know it's been awhile since our latest blog, but this one's good! It's all about our latest mini-trip to Hong Kong! At the last minute, Larry and I ended up having 3 days off together in the first week of February, and so we planned this trip in about a week's notice. As you will see though after reading this blog, it was well worth all the hassle and last-minute planning...We had an AMAZING time and fell in love with this city! Day 1: On our first day we got up and headed to the infamous "Ladies Market," [View Full Entry]

Hello Everyone! Happy Belated Holidays!! As you all can see, we had a VERY busy holiday season! It started a few nights before Christmas Day, December 23rd I believe, when Larry, myself, and many other friends headed to Jessica & Adam's apartment for a Christmas/Birthday celebration! It was both Jessica and Nolan's birthday, and so we wanted to give them a proper celebration...not tacked onto Christmas as many birthdays around the holidays sometimes are. Anywho, we sang our favorite song "Count the Numbers," had some homemade cider, wine, & desserts, and enjoyed eachother's company. [View Full Entry]

Hello Everyone! About a week before Christmas, our good friend Ramit from Los Angeles came to South Korea for a visit. Ironically enough, the same day his plane arrived from sunny California, we had a large snowfall....the only snow we've seen this winter so far! Before picking up Ramit from the airport, we unfortunately both had to work this day. Larry found ways to make the most of it though...as you can see he chose to have some snowball fights with his students! But anyway, Larry went to Incheon Airport to pick up Ramit later that same day, and had a [View Full Entry]

Hello Everybody! This blog is about our two dear friends, Tara and Calvin....who both left English Village about 2 weeks ago. They are now safe and sound back in Canada (in a little town called REGINA - that rhymes with fun, haha!), enjoying the holidays with their families. Soon they will be looking for jobs, a house, a car, and putting the final touches on their wedding day - which will occur this June! (Wow...sounds exactly like what we'll be doing when we return to the U.S.!) These pictures are from a few of our last couple of outings with Tara [View Full Entry]

Hello Everyone! This blog highlights some of the fun things we did in the month of November.... The first and largest group of pictures is from a Seoul bus tour we did last month. We took this tour with some of our English Village friends, Nathan & Natalia, who set the whole thing up with the church that they go to. We ended up seeing quite a lot of things on this tour, some of which we've briefly seen before, and some of which were a completely new experience for us! On this day we were picked up by a large [View Full Entry]

Hello everybody! How are you all doing? We hope that you all had a great Thanksgiving and that your Christmas/holiday plans are well underway. Our Thanksgiving holiday was a lot of fun this year. Although we missed being home on this day, our evening was memorable nonetheless, and special in its own way. We spent Thanksgiving here in English Village, and we had dinner with at least 50 other teachers! It was nice because we created families and a nice "potluck" dinner to look forward to this holiday evening. Unfortunately, because it was a Thursday, we both had to work this [View Full Entry]

Hello everyone! Our latest travelblog begins with our Halloweeen pictures! This year we went to a Halloween costume party here in English Village with many of our fellow teachers and friends. The party started at our local English Village Pub "Double Decker," and finished at "Saturn" - one of the residence halls here. As you can see, Larry and I went as a butterfly and a butterfly-catcher this year! We didn't have a lot of time and resources to get together some really good costumes this year, but we think we did alright...(Although at first glance, a lot of people thought [View Full Entry]

Hello everyone... Greetings from S. Korea! Sorry you all haven't heard from us in awhile, but as you can probably imagine, we've been pretty busy over the past few weeks getting settled in here and getting used of our new jobs. So far, everything is GREAT and we're writing to tell you all about it!! When we first arrived in S. Korea on October 3rd, not only was it really late at night, but it was also in the middle of a big national holiday here called Chuseok. Chuseok is the Korean Thanksgiving and it falls on different days each year. [View Full Entry]
