Hello friends,

This blog is about the latest Korean TV show I was in - called "Boom Boom Musicland." Actually, this was the 2nd season of the same show I did at the end of last year, and so, I guess technically it's "Boom Boom Musicland 2." Hehe! Anyway, for those who didn't know, Boom Boom is a children's educational show on EBS (a HUGE educational network here in Korea), where I teach children English through singing and dancing. There is also a story in every episode, but considering the entire show is only 10-minutes long when it airs, they seem to be pretty basic and - most of the time - very silly too!

I play a character named Barbie - the female main character who lives in Musicland and is best friends with Boom Boom. Barbie likes the color pink, singing and dancing with her little fairy friends, and teaching valuable lessons (mainly to Boom Boom - who is a very mischievious character!) She also enjoys playing with her friends Boom Boom (played by Michael - from America and also a professor in Korea), Cathy (a Korean-American character - real name Deborah - about 11 years old), and two mice named BeBe & PpaPpa (two animated mice characters). Although a very tiring show to tape, (it usually takes us an entire weekend to tape 8-10 episodes, plus an additional few hours during the week to record the music at a recording studio), it has been a really unique and fun experience!

We are currently done taping the show, however, there is a lot of talk about a possible "Boom Boom Musicland - Season 3"...so we'll see what happens!

We have also included photos from our anniversary dinner (back in February!) at a really unique one-table restaurant called "In New York." This restaurant was really small and quaint, but had such a wonderful atmosphere - as we experienced having our own private chef cooking and then serving us each dish. The candlelight dinner was very memorable right down to every last detail - even dessert, a piece of cheesecake with a candle, had chocolate syrup spelling out 'LOVE' in it - it was beautiful.

Also included in this blog - our friend Janina's birthday party and our friend Nick's going-away party at English Village (where we used to work!)

Enjoy the pictures!!

Coming up soon...our trip to Singapore...

Love,
Melanie & Larry
