I am a TV.
uhh... I went out with Irish people for their holiday last night. It was pretty fun, I got sufficiently drunk... and I got a free t-shirt... holla. I really love this city. I often lament about how I love small towns like Davis. Davis is great because you donīt ever have to drive, and you know everybody. I always thought that cities sucked because the only city I know is Los Angeles. But Los Angeles isnīt a city, its a haphazardly constructed heavily-populated expanse of land that dissolves into the ocean. Buenos Aires has reminded me that REAL city life is [View Full Entry]

When we last spoke I was eluding border officials in Brazil. After a brief stint in a Brazillian prison... I made my way back into Argentina. (Last Friday I was in Brazil twice.) I got into Puerto Iguazu too late to catch the bus to Buenos Aires that day, so I spent the night there, again. I was able to cut out around 2 on an eighteen hour journey to Retiro bus station in Buenos Aires. Our bus was stopped by national police five hours into the journey. Apparently someone had sent a kilo of marijuana in the cargo hold of [View Full Entry]

I wanted to go to Brasil this morning, so I got up early and hopped a bus from the Argentinian side of the river to the Brazillian side. When I got to the Brazillian border crossing, there wasn't anyone stopping me from entering the country without a visa... so I said "Sweet I got in without a 120$ visa." I went to the international bus station to buy a ticket to visit my friend Houston, originally from Austin, but now living in Florianopolis. They wouldn't sell me a ticket without a visa... the information lady told me to go back to [View Full Entry]

Itīs like the most brilliant poet of our time once said: ĻDon't go chasing waterfalls Please stick to the rivers and the lakes that you're used to I know that ypu're gonna have it your way or nothing at all But I think you're moving too fast Ļ The falls of Iguazu (Argentinian side) were the basis for this beautiful work of art. While I didnīt have the same muses that stood behind T-Boz, Left Eye (RIP), and Chilli... I still was amazed by the sheer beauty of the waterfalls. They are big. Itīs like if you put yourself into a [View Full Entry]

Waterfalls
Friends

On friday I met up with Ben Chinnīs parents at their nice ass hotel in the Recoleta in Buenos Aires. They fed me the buffet breakfast that was offered at the hotel. (It was delicious) Then they got me lunch. Afterwards me and Benīs mom went to the Buenos Aires opera house for a tour. I mean I probably wouldnīt have gone on the tour if it wasnīt offered to me. But it was fairly exciting. As exciting as a tour of an opera house can be. I left from Buenos Aires on the 7:31 bus for Gualeguaychú, not to be [View Full Entry]

I left Salta, monday night for Cordoba. I used to live in a city called Cordoba, but it turns out that itīs different. Cordoba, Argentina is a great place, one million people, lots of students and lots of things to do. I hung out with spaniards, and we went to a bar. When we left we had the best post-drunk food Iīve had in a while: sausages cooked on the street... delicious, (I just donīt understand how they can get the pavement that hot.) I left Cordoba yesterday for Buenos Aires. It took like 12 hours, so I got in around [View Full Entry]

Iīm in Salta, in northern Argentina. When we last spoke, I was in San Pedro de Atacama, near the Bolivian border in Chile. The town is super touristy, and thus super expensive... Ten dollar meals, ten dollar rooms... (boo.) I met some Icelandic chicks, we went sand boarding. It was fun, but the sand burnt my feet... (ouch.) They are semi-famous in Iceland, which I guess isnīt that hard, because there are only 300,000 people. Anyway, they have a website that is sponsored by a TV channel, if enough people visit they can get their own show. Thatīs pretty cool. If [View Full Entry]

After I left La Paz on Sunday, I headed for Oruro where I expected to catch a train the next day. But misinformation propagated by the so-called travellerīs bible, Lonely Planet, got me there... right on time incidentally. So I caught a train down the silver line for Uyuni. They played Shawshank Redemption in Spanish... (the train was actually run by TNT.) We got into the itty bitty town at 3am. I didnīt want to pay the twenty bolivianos for five hours in a hostal, so I decided to take up digs at the train station... I saved 2 dollars. The [View Full Entry]
