A running theme for my time in Mexico has been "You can do whatever you want, you're in Mexico." This weekend I went to Corona Music Fest. We met up with our friend from Britilandia. I drank four beers on the taxi ride to the Estadio Azteca. I bought Bud Light for nostalgic purposes, and a Belgian 9% for enhanced drunkeness purposes. Mexico celebrates Halloween, the way Americans celebrate Thanksgiving. They get a day and a half off. This year Dia De Muertos was on a Thursday, so we didn't have school on Thursday or Friday. I decided to stay in Pachuca on Wednesday night. I went out with my neighbors. My friends told me about a party that they were going to after work. On friday morning before I went to school. I tried to cut my hair into one of those subtle-euro mullet things... but it now just looks like I'm balding. It is pretty sweet though. My mom was at a resort in northern Mexico, and she met a really funny couple from Mexico City. They became good friends, and my parents went out to dinner with them in Los Angeles. On Friday my mom told me that they wanted me to visit them at their ranch west of Mexico City. I got in touch with them, and on Saturday morning I made the journey to their estate. On Friday we left Pachuca for the Big City, actually the Biggest City in the world, Mexico (City, DF). We took a cab all the way to the Pachuca bus station, before realizing we forgot the keys to my aunt's sweet pad. The taxi driver drove us back home... and then it started it hailing, it was some strange weather that I have never encountered. So I finally got sick for the first time since I've been down here. I think it was an egg torta... the worst part was that I went to a buffet, but couldn't eat... That is like the grandest shame in the history of shames that I can imagine. But luckily it was a well-priced vegetarian buffet... so I didn't miss out on too much. I haven't had a weekend in like five years. I, of course, mean that in the most positive of sense. Nearly everyday for the past five years, has been what regular people would consider a weekend. Mexico is great, I haven't even gotten sick. This weekend I went to DF... to visit my family. I have a new baby cousin, and a five year old cousin... It was her birthday.
