Hello everyone :) Here are finally our Egypt / Jordan photos. It took a while to go through all 1200 pics but here they are almost a month after we got back. You will find that you may need a couple of days to look at all of them, after all it was a month trip and we got a bit carried away. We did our best to prepare a good selection but couldn't do it with less than 202 photos. We had the best time. The freedom of moving around without being attached to a schedule and meeting different people everywhere was the best experience for us. Anyway we hope you have as much fun looking at the photos as we had taking them. Ax & Tom... read more

Snowboarding in Soldeu

This was definitely the holiday we were waiting for. From the moment we came back from Snowboarding in Bansko we wanted to go again, like kids in a Theme Park. The fact that Will and Chaz would be coming with us made it all even more exciting. We had five full great days snowboarding. The week started with Chaz falling, hitting his board on some poor man's head and having to be rescued by a snowmobile and it finished with Axelle having to give up half way through the last day due to, lets say, bottom injury. The apartment was at only five minutes walk to the lifts and we had a really nice view of the pists from our bedroom windows. We had a great time and finished our stay in Soldeu with a delicious ... read more

We only had one thing in mind when booking this holiday, and that was to see the Northern Lights. We researched on the internet where we would be able to see it and what was the best time of year. We found out a lot of things about Tromso - where the most Northern University in the world is located. The best time of the year is in winter during the new moon phase. With all the information in hand, we booked our holiday and were really excited when the day to leave finally arrived. We flew to Oslo and spent the first night there, and that's when we watched our first Ice Hockey game - it was fun appart from the fact that we couldn't understand the rules and that or team lost. The next ... read more

There were 22 of us and it was a great Gourmet feast! That is how I describe our Christmas, a wine for each course and a detailed menu with an explanation of how each specific dish was prepared. I was worried that Tom would get bored, due to the language barrier, but he said that it was actually much better because he got to eat more - while everyone talked, he ate. It was really nice to be back and see everyone. ... read more

"Come in August", I told my sister, "Britain is beautiful in summer". If only I knew we wouldn't have any summer! Anais arrived on a wednesday and on the Thursday we left to Scotland. It was quite a long journey and we waisted a little bit of our holiday getting organized with camping and highering cars, but after we sorted all that, we had the best time. Luckely we had the best weather when we had to camp and when it started to rain and get really cold we decided to stay in bed and breakfasts. We managed to do everything we wanted, comedy show in Edinburgh, drive to Inverness and see the Loch Ness, go to a whisky distilery, go to St Andrews and have a nice meal, go back to Edinburgh and visit the ... read more

Here we are, one more time in beautiful, eclectic Amsterdam. We couldn't resist to go one more time to celebrate Ax's birthday. Unfortunately the weather wasn't as nice as last year, but we did have a good time.....as usual! This time we hired bikes for all the days we were there wich allowed us to see more and go anywhere we wanted to.... read more

It was a cold long weekend and all we wanted was to see the Cheese Rolling Competition, so we decided to go to Wales for the weekend and on the way back stop in Gloucesteshire, where the competition happens every year. Wales is a beautiful country with it's beaches and quirky little villages and we had a great time. It was very interesting, to say the least, to go horse riding on the beach. The horses were old and had a big lack of motivation and when we were told to take the horses into the water the poor things really didn't feel like being wet. When we arrived at the Cheese rolling competition they had run out of cheese so Ant didn't feel it was worth to compete for no prize. It was a really ... read more

Finally the day arrived! The most anticipated trip of all! We were all really excited about going snowbording, we had been preparing ourselves for a few months now. Arriving in Sofia we had a driver waiting to take us to Bansko. The ride was rough, long and we really started to wonder if we were going the right direction - we finally got there at ten in the evening. Everyday it was a really early start mainly because we couldn't hold the boys in the chalet for very long. We rented our equipment and up we went to the slopes, that's when we actually realized what we were getting ourselves into and the fact that except for Ant none of us had ever snowboarded. Jana ski's evey winter but she thought that as everyone was ... read more

Why did we choose Sicily? It was actually because the flights were really cheap so we thought "why not?". We had read about the place just before booking the tickets and it sounded really nice, but after that we didn't worry at all, so a month later when we landed in Palermo we didn't really know where to go - we forgot our travel guide at home (very smart!). We got ripped off by a taxi driver who charged us 50 Euros to take us to the hotel (it should have cost 30 Euros) and the hotel was only 5 min from the airport as it was stated on the website. Needless to say we were feeling a bit annoyed on our first morning (mainly Axe). We went back to the airport to rent a ... read more
