Beautiful day to Cefalu 50mins by early train up the coast from Palermo, a seaside resort town with a UNESCO heritage church.
It said thunderstorms but we braved it anyway...& it was fine until we were well & truly back home.
The train trip was super passing through a few towns and in particular 'Campofelice' with lots of holiday homes...a very popular tourist beach.

Cefalu's earliest history is beleived to be in Carthiginian time 396 BC as it records it as a fortress on top of the precipitous rock that know shadows the old town below it. Greek in origin.

Walk in the water....very warm as much in as it was out.
