Had a great day after getting the washing done early this morning we set off for the Questacon, The National Science and Technology Centre. So much to see and do, we started with Perception Deception, which showed how the brain can play tricks on you, illusions which could trick your senses, incredible.
Wonderworks - Science to move your mind - we were amongst a lot of families as well, it was a playground for all ages.
We then visited a show called Dino - Science where it was explained the origins of dinosaurs, how they evolved and how they are still finding new ones, even in Australia.
The next Gallery was Awesome Earth and the power and beauty of our planet. You could feel the force of an earthquake, let lightning spark your imagination and wonder at the grandeur of the universe. The sand that lightning struck which fossilized leaving a hollow tube, was incredible and every 15 minutes there would be a lightning show.
The Robot was pretty amazing, and on the computer you could command it to do anything. Mick had it quoting lines from Cassablanca and kids had it laughing, singing, going to sleep all sorts of things.
Another exhibit was
a huge jumble of tubes you could put coloured scarves into, it would suck them through and spit them out at different places. Mick tried to have a go but could not beat the kids to it.
We had lunch then walked over to Lake Burley Griffin, to have an hour on a Segway, what an experience, incredible, we went around the Lake foreshore, over busy bridges and past a lot of iconic buildings and famous Landmarks. It was a great experience and well worth the money, $120, that was with Mick getting a Seniors Concession.
