After a lazy morning at our home we headed off to the village of Aigues-Vives. Just before arriving in Aigues-Vives we witnessed the start of a forest fire in a nearby area. Today the Tour du France will be traveling through this village on stage eleven of the event. This is the 103rd running of the Tour du France with 187 competitors. The race is made up of twenty one stages and covers a distance of 3,519 kilometres. We waited around for about an hour to watch the bikers race through. It was very exciting to see and the crowds of people were not disappointed.

We then enjoyed a coffee and yummy pastry before taking more back roads back to Narbonne. During the evening we continued to see water planes heading out towards the fire.
