Today we did a lovely drive up into the Atherton Tablelands. It is a rich farming area which also has ancient volcanic lakes and tropical rainforests. We enjoyed the Barron Falls at Kuranda which is a beautiful rainforest area. From there we stopped at Mareeba for coffee. The coffee beans are locally grown. It was then off to do some nice hiking at Granite Gorge, where we also enjoyed seeing Rock Wallabies. We later visited the Curtain Fig Tree and hiked around Lake Eacham. We had fun looking for wildlife and birds. Still no kangaroos!
