We arrive safely in Paris around 9am in the rain and await our baggage to arrive after an amazing flight on Sri Lankan airlines. Food, service and general friendliness of the crew was exceptional.
We next catch the train into Chatelle so that we can get a cab to our hotel. Wouldn't you just know it, all the up escalators are not working so Chris and I have to lug the big heavy case up numerous flights of stairs to the point of exhaustion.
Hot, sweaty and generally knackered we check in to the Novotel Bercy. Katherine comes to visit us at the hotel but unfortunately lost her passport and will have to join us later at some point for lunch. Kath, Chris and I have a couple of drinks and then go out for lunch where we finally get to see Nardine. Unfortunately she now has to go back to the uk on the Eurostar but even this is risky.
It's time to say our goodbyes to Nardine and wish her well on getting home. Us 3 head back to hotel for a short time until Kath has to go to airport. We do however find out that Nardine is on her way. Phew! We then have big hugs and kisses (not French) and farewell Kath.
Time for a na na nap before the Taylor entourage arrives at around 10pm. Arrive they do, loud, joyous and hungry for food and drinks. So off we go, literally across the road where much merriement is had.
