Alo amigos,
yep we are still here, safe, sound though now full of hay fever and cold. Think we may just have depleted the napkins and toilet rolls of BA as we sniff and sneeze across this huge city.
Hotel is nice and central and day 1 we head to Puerto Madero which is the BA docks all done up and gentrified. Think melbournes South bank.
The pollution is pretty horrendous and the traffic is to die for literally. Traffic in BA rules at all costs and when you have 8 lanes to get across on foot you really need your wits.
We visited the pink palace of Eva Peron (nothing special) then walked the cobbled streets nearby & often run down parts to San Telmo which is a trendy arty part of BA before you get to the slums and no go areas.
I have to say I miss the dogs of Chile, here they are all on leads and yet the children run wild like monsters.
It is most definitely cheaper here than Chile but people are just as amazing and friendly.
hoping to get an early night and clear these colds.
PS. We bought possibly the worst wine in the world yesterday. The pic should say it all.
cheers and buenos nachos.
