So it was goodbye to wonderful Santiago and back to the airport. Previously we trekked to the massive shopping centre to have electronic tag removed from the shirt I bought 2 weeks ago so I can at least wear the bloody thing without looking like a shoplifter.
impatient passengers clog all the space possibly available despite the pilot and crew not yet on board. We are finally called and the wow factor occurred again. Our first time on the Boeing Dreamliner. No shutters on these windows; just a button that dims to the right shade you require.
just under 90 minutes and more spectacular scenery we land in buenos aires (good air) we'll be the judge of that.
First impressions were not good as the 35 minute drive took us through some extremely deprived estates and the odd but random people parked up on the central reservations of the motorway and grassed kerbsides having bloody picnics. With those petrol and deisal fumes who needs Pisco sour.
anyhow, we check in to our hotel and decide to stretch our legs a bit and walk a few blocks before stopping for a rest and a cold beer. Wasn't long before the sax
player, panhandlers trying to sell me the loveliest green Gucci handbag and mis matched sunnies, and the homeless kiddies begging for just about anything appear.
Early night I have to say as we are so tired and have much to see and do.
