Kalgoorlie is another huge town 31,000 people and most of the buildings are old but well kept. The town is very green which is surprising as they depend on a lot of water via a pipeline from Perth 650km away.
The town is very much a mining town and there are so many shops here. The shops along the main street are all under cover with bull nose verandahs.
We took a look at the Superpit from the lookout. It is enormous and we are taking a tour into the pit on Monday so that should be good.
Mount Charlotte is the local lookout and contains the reservoir for the town water.
Not far from town is the Two Up shed and it is still used today. Check out the loo's. No roof but at least they have paper.
There aren't too many brothels anymore but you can guess some of the buildings may have once been used for that purpose.
We took a walk through the local park and it was stunning.
