Crooked StreetCrooked StreetCrooked Street

The famous twisty street on Lombard Street.
I caught my flight from D.C to San Fran, i had to get up at 4am though as the flight was set to leave at 6.30am, managed to bag myself extra leg room again, and the seat next to me was empty so it was a good flight.
Arrived half an hour earlier than expected and manage to catch the bus into San Fran for a mere $1.50... considering the airport was 14 miles away i think thats a bargain.
Arrived at the hostel and was put into a 4 bed dorm with nobody in it, had a few hours sleep then ventured out for some pizza and a beer before heading back to the hostel for more sleep.
Woke the next morning to find a quiet Belgian guy and a weird German dude in the room... so i decided i'd spend the day alone, i basically just spent 5 hours wandering around the shops and hill climbing, and was back at the hostel by about 5pm where i discovered a Canadian guy had appeared in the room, to cut a long story short we all went out to a cheap bar at the other hostel of the same name round

Just to prove im not just sat at home stealing these pics from other places!
the corner and got very drunk.
To lose the hangover the next day i walked all the way to pier 33, bought my ticket for Alcatraz then walked all the way to the Golden Gate bridge, then all the way across it which took about 40 minutes, then all the way back to the hostel where i basically pigged out on spaghetti and sat in the TV room with an Ozzy girl - no, a Canadian girl - yes and a Swedish one - no, also there were a load of lads Manchester knocking around, ended up watching the Fiddy Cent movie - load of S H I * E!
My last full day was spent wandering aimlesly round the Piers especially 39 which was full of rubbish shops and smelly sea lions untill 2pm when i had to go to Alcatraz, i loved Alcatraz it was by far the most interesting thing in San Fran, felt really weird to actually be there, and when i got back to the hostel about ten of us sat and watched the film The Rock starring Sean Connery set on Alcatraz, followed by 8 Under which was a Disney film about some guy

There was actually a phone below this sign!
and his Huskie dogs, very emotional.
To be honest i was a bit dissapointed with the place, once you have seen Alcatraz, the Bridge, walked up some ridiculous steep hills and seen some sea lions thats pretty much all there is, sure it looks nicer than most cities but there isnt a whole lot going on.

The inmates called this Broadway, at the end there is a clock and they named that area Times Square.

A typical cell, and when you are stood inside they feel smaller still.

Cant think of a title.
Hi bro, Like your comment on the sea lions, but isn't that the kettle calling the pot black as you were a master of that at home, ha ha ha. It looks really good though, I can tell you liked alcatraz as there are more pics of it than any other thing you have seen so far, and I am not suppressed! Good to finally see a picture of you on there as well............ the pic's of you in your little swimming turnks in Fiji, you can keep to your self though :-) Better get back to work, take care and e-mail soon. Your big Bro (the good looking one).

What's the crack about learning lessons from French men who want to fill you with a warm baguette, is there something your keeping from the family?
