To make most from our city pass, we decided to trek up to Casa Loma, the oldest castle in North America! Built in 1911 by a guy with more money than sense! I was on top of a hill but no moat, arrow slits or battlements! At home it would just be a stately home!!

It was lovely though, 3 floors, a towers, lots of guest suites, the lady of the house was a keen girl guider. There was a stunning conservatory with a stained glass roof. A tunnel, under the roads, warmed by steam from furnaces, linking the main house to the stables, garages and green houses! As I said, more money than sense! He actually became bankrupt because if the war and it ended up being taken by the government due to taxes unpaid! It was going to be knocked down until they decided to try and run it as a tourist place in the 30's!

Steve met us after this and we headed down town to 'Loose Moose' and had some wings and beer (cider for me!) and then the boys wanted to go on a brewery tour, however they were all booked up so we sat on the water front and drank more! Wine this time for me!!

Dinner was at a bourbon grill where I had a brisket! Oh my god.... So much food, I ate my body weight in beef.... Blooming good though!!
