We rode our bikes to the Whiteface Mountain Ski Resort this morning, and took the gondola to the top of the slopes. This area is experiencing record high temperatures for this time of year, but the 85 degrees feels pretty good to us.
We returned to the campground around 10:30 am and swam a little in the stream.
After lunch, we took a cab into the Olympic Village at Lake Placid. We went to the 1932 and 1980 Olympic Ice Rinks. The "Miracle" Ice Rink still gets me. The guy working the desk at the museum was working concessions at the rink during the 1980 US/Russia game.
We then hiked about 2 miles to the Lake Placid Lodge. Had some great drinks at the bar, and great conversation with the bar tender and other patrons.
Great day. Heading the Burlington, VT and Lake Champlain tomorrow.

This is one of my favorite places to visit and stay. Use to go there as a kid. There is a little shop that hand makes sweaters a must buy.
