We're looking, in vain, for beluga whales... Well, it's our final touring day ) if you want to call it that) and we are leaving Homer (still with about 20 lbs of halibut!) and heading back to Portage.
Made a quick stop at Kenai so I could see the Beluga whales that hang out there( right!--hanging some other place today...)so, we made a stop at the Cultural Center so I could buy a Kenai Peninsula shirt. Bought it and guess what!--had to return it: shirts are unisex ( I wonder what sex they're referring to): it came down almost to my kneecaps and the shirt maker must think everyone has arms the length of a monkey!) I looked like a Pygmy... The woman suggested I go to Safeway ( can you believe it???) a grocery store to find my shirt: I guess 8:50 is a lot better than the $22.00 I originally paid. Yeah, I know, the quality isn't the same. Who cares--- it say Kenai!
Took a final pic of a lake surrounded by mountains ( I know, something really different) but I liked the fact that there was a sort of blanket of green grass ( or some sort of vegetation) that wanted to camouflage the
snow-less sections of the mountain.
Finally, back to the RV Park: tomorrow we divest all that we have left over: even my hangers!!! (I did keep 10)...Am not looking forward to packing up ( but then, honestly, who does?) . But tonight it's our Last Supper, so we'll eat, drink and be merry?

Safe Travels!
Dorrie, Safe travels as you come back to Naples. We are getting rain everyday now, so the lakes are coming up a bit. Jon and I have enjoyed your blog. See you soon! Cheryl
