Well, that trip to the Monkey Temple ended up being a very steep 45 minute stair climb. But some how we managed to get our sorry asses to the temple. At the top there, quite naturally, are loads of monkeys surrounding the temple. Inside we were blessed and recived a painted orange dot on our heads and some grainy food stuff, which all the monkeys had clocked on too. I had my stuff clenched in my fist so tight as we left the temple, hoping that the cheeky monkeys wouldnt attack me. But of course, one came charging up to me and clung on to my dress. I threw the food in the opposite way, yelped, and started running! The monkeys are really scary here, they make a horrible hissing noise, amd they can bite!

On the way down we met millions of teenagers on a school trip. Therefore we spent a good hour getting our photos taken and signing 1,000 ruppee notes. It is like your famous here, very amusing!

The next day we went to a beautiful river which had hot springs, which are famous for healing skin conditions. We also went through another stair-climbing-up-and down-a-mountain adventure,

Sophie and Ross in a river, near Manali
but were rewarded nicely with a gorgeous spot to do a bit of swimming in. This place was like a dream, surrounded my mountians, lush and green.

We are now in Manali and last night played drinking games with 6 Indian guys, in which 4 at the end declared there love to me. Thats when we made a sharp exit! Today is about meandering aroung. Manali is beautiful, it is 3,000 meters higher than Shimla, therefore surrounded by mountains and rivers. Im in my element surrounded by such beauty.

hope that you are all doing well, looking forward to hearing from you. lots of love xxx
