Can you believe all this stuff fits in our trailers?

We tried to sleep in today, with the curtains drawn over the hotel room windows...and we did manage to sleep in past sunrise. (Jo interrupts...yeah, we slept in 'til 6 am!) We walked to the lobby to eat our free breakfast. Expecting a regular continental breakfast of packaged muffins and coffee, we were pleasantly surprised as a sign directed us from the lobby to the restaurant for our complimentary meal. On the menu: Eggs (to order), hashbrowns, toast, choice of meat, juice, AND coffee! Not bad for a free hotel stay AND a free breakfast!
Today is errand day. We need to do some shopping, update our blog, and get some laundry done. We disconnected Jo's trailer and I emptied mine. We went off to our favorite place in the universe...WalMart! (The place I affectionately call "HELL".) We barely made it out alive with some toiletries, food stuffs (including an entire case of top ramen for $1.44), a knee brace for Jo, and some picture developing for Pastor Vic. We dropped our purchases off at the hotel, where I disconnected my trailer. Now we

had to find the library. With our trailers parked securely in our room, we felt liberated from the weight of all our gear. We flew down city streets and cornered on a dime! When starting at traffic lights, I easily our-accelerated cars and ran through gears within seconds. It was so nice...bringing a smile to our faces.
We found the library quickly; it wasn't far at all from the hotel. Once there, we found that the computers had no card readers for the memory card from the camera. We forgot our docking station for the camera, so we had to go back to the hotel to get it...then head back to the library. I asked Jo if we could take a slight detour and hit the "QT" gas station on the way back to the hotel. Back in my days as a driller, I would take my drill crew to this gas station every morning that we were in town. This is the BEST gas station in the WORLD!!! It is huge, with ten iced frapaccino machines, a dozen slushy machines, 25 soda fountains, tons of hot dogs and taquitos rolling back and forth on warming machines, and three...count 'em, THREE registers ringing up the many customers passing through the store. For a year now, I've been telling Jo about this place because it is the only place I've seen with my favorite White Cherry Slushy. While we were crossing the Yuha desert and through Glamis, I dreamed of sipping on a white cherry slushy and told Jo all about it. I've been waiting for a week since then and now...I shall have one! Yum yum! We got to the QT and Jo, too, was amazed by the selection of cold beverage dispensers. I quickly grabbed a cup and walked briskly over to the White Cherry machine. I paused in horror as the green light above the valve was flashing...what could this mean? I positioned my cup under the nozzle, whispered a prayer, and opened the valve. Wonderful frozen slush spewed into the cup, for about one second. Then, the slush turned to liquid. AAAAHHHHH!!! No WAY!!! I turned to Jo with a pouty bottom lip. An employee nearby heard my mumbling and complaining. Jo told her the whole story of the anticipation of my treat. Even the employee felt my pain and offered an apology. Disheartened, we left the store and went back to the hotel.
After returning to the library to finish our blog, we went back to our room to get some laundry done and have dinner. It was an easy day, and riding our bikes without the trailers was a treat in itself!

QT
The QT is a thing of beauty... They have one around the corner from the Plano HDFS office. Fountain Diet Mountain Dew. The Best. Hope your trip is going well. If you need anything on your way through Texas let me know. Thanks for the great stroy. It's making me crazy to put a tent on the back of the motorcycle and disappear.
