Quirky Albuquerque

The drive to Albuquerque was not to bad until we reached the town of Albuquerque which had a lot of traffic. We took 380 to 25 to 40. We stayed at Enchanted Trails RV Park ($18/night with Passport), the coolest thing at this RV Park is the vintage trailers and cars that they have at the front of the park to rent for the night. The park is clean and has a neat collection of old radios, TVs and telephones in many of the rooms off shooting the office. There are old brochures ranging from cars, RVs and local area attractions from yester year. The first night we arrived we set up the computers to continue researching places to visit, roads and where to stay; any chance where we have decent Wi-Fi we like to plan a couple days ahead to help us avoid any road closures or attractions being closed on a weird day. Monday and Tuesday are popular days places like to be closed and of course the normal Sunday closure, which has foiled our plans more than once now. We then headed over to the Camping World that was literally next door to grab some supplies for the trailer then off to explore Albuquerque for we tried a Twisters which is a semi fast food Mexican/burger joint. We were pleasantly surprised and the service was excellent. I almost forgot that during the set up of the trailer Nate found the first tumbleweed, you would have loved to see him so excited, kicking it down the road like a little boy.

The next morning we headed out to Old Town Albuquerque to check shops and museums. Then off to Tinkertown Museum. We had a hard to finding food for lunch which seems to be a thing for us in this town so we settled on a local burger joint that was pretty good.
