Since our last Blog update God has kept us busy with our Church work. Our Quiet Days Ministry continues to move forward. In our last Blog we detailed the 'Greed and Grace' Quiet Day on 14th May and we are now preparing for the next Quiet Day on 16th July. 'Walking with the Lord' is based around the footprints poem. On 17th September we have our final Quiet Day for 2016 'Power of Prayer'. Look us up and Like us on Facebook - St. Chad's Quiet Days Ministry

On 13th April we were fortunate to experience a Stuart Townend concert which was held at a church in Nuneaton which was filled with 300 people giving it a great atmosphere.

On 14th April our very good friend Pam arrived from Australia to stay with us for a couple of nights. The UK presented Pam with it's usual variation in weather. Pam arrived to cool and wet conditions which became snow the next day then a day of sunshine. On Saturday 16th April we travelled by train, with Pam, to Ludlow which is in Shropshire. Our travels took us through the snow covered Shropshire hills and an opportunity to catch up with Chris & Alan our friends, and Pam's friends, from Berwick.

On Sunday 8th May we were again fortunate to lead the St Chads Family service which we again held in the round and we were also able to introduce a new childrens play area to the church.

Our work with the Wolverhampton Homeless Outreach (WHO) continues and we are now out every second Friday with the support backpacks provided by the United Benefice. WHO had a recent problem when sleeping bags in a store room became damp due to heavy rain. Our benefice once again came to the fore and washed and dried 10 sleeping bags and 3 large blankets which are desperately needed by our friends on the streets.

On Wednesday 1st June we took a break and headed to Liverpool for 3 days. The train trip was excellent as was the accommodation and Liverpool is a vibrant city and a great place to spend some time away. The weather was magnificent.

Our time in Liverpool gave us the opportunity to meet a special couple related to great friends we have in Hastings Victoria. Pam and Dave Nickson are committed Christians and wonderful people and Pam walks with the Lord 24 x 7. Such special people. Pam is an artist and author and it's worth checking out here web site www.nicksonarts.com.

We have also been involved in running a Pilgrims bible study group with Bill Sharples from St Mary's. Bill has been running the Monday morning and Wednesday evening session at St Mary's while Jess has run a Thursday afternoon session at St Chads. We have just completed the 6 weeks based on the Lord's Prayer and the week beginning 20th June we start the 6 weeks on the 10 Commandments.

Our study will intensify from October when we both start a 12 month Pathways to Ministry course.

Lovely to keep up with what God's doing with your lives. Looks like you're exactly where He wants you to be. Love ND.

You certainly are goers.
It's great to hear of your Quiet Days and the different themes you have. I guess they are becoming known around the diocese. Do you get lots of people coming ? You mention a couple of Pam's. Is one Pam Packett ? Phyllis has had a recurrence of breast cancer. She had to have major surgery and she is doing well. She still gets very tired. It was a success as there is no talk of radiation or chemo. Keep up you great work there. Our love to you both, Bob and Phyllis.
