Its time to say goodbye to Koalas, Kangaroos and meat pies (Dillon will be sad...) and hello to adventure, excitement, no work (yay), uncomfortable beds, fermented horse milk and grumpy Russians amongst many other things.
Dillon was quite sick last week but luckily he is now back to normal and ready to go and head back into summer. From today onwards we will follow the warm weather and the next time we have to deal with cold weather will be in May, June next year.
We are currently at the airport with our 40+kg worth of luggage and ready to board our flight to Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia via Kulala Lumpur and Beijing including a nerve wrecking 8 hour stopover at Beijing airport... starting at 1am... with a 4 year old. What could go wrong....
In Beijing we will meet up with our first travel companion Kathy who will be with us for the first 10 days.
We have planned this trip for so long that its unreal that we are finally going. Leaving behind our cat (greetings to our new tenants who look after him, apologies if he kicks you out of bed in the morning to
demand food...), careers and friends. Ah well the sacrifices you make to have an awesome time.
Thanks for being part of it. Hope we keep you entertained
Dillon, Kellie and Ralph
