I have more pictures and great tales of my trip to Salamanca this past weekend as well but I am too tired and feeling too sick (not really sick but I just want to sleep) to add it right now.

Today I started Flamenco lessons and it was great- it is actually pretty easy (well, not really, but I LOVE my teacher and he teaches really well).

It was really funny though, I felt like the stupid mute kid because half the time I had NO IDEA what he was saying, but I am a pretty quick learner and I caught on quickly. One time he was talking to me and I think I got the gist of what he was saying but I really have no idea. So in a couple months hopefully I will be a Flamenco star! Just kidding, I will probably run out of money to pay for classes before I actually get any good!

But I absolutely love it- especially when I am not too horrible, there are some girls in class that have obviously never danced in their lives, so Mom and Dad see all those years of dance classess payed off- I can look at least decent in a class of a different discipline!

I also payed 6 Euro today for a coffee that I didn't like- well not really but I didn't have any cash and I had failed in my attempt to go study at the National Library because evidently you can't STUDY there, just go to lectures and look up old books and such--you actually need a special pass to even enter---and before that adventure, I had to find notecards which was a bit difficult considering no one in Madrid knows anything ever, much less studies!

Anyway, I figured I owed myself a treat and I needed a place to sit anyway, but café y té (unlike the local starbucks here) makes you spend 6euro if you want to use a debit card. And because I have defaulted back to my normal "I don't have any cash---ever" tendency I had to spend 6 euro. I picked this café italiano---which was basically cough syrup, and then got café con leche and a croussaint. I guess it was worth it?

I also bought a skirt (falda) y shoes (zapatos) for Flamenco today!!! It was very fun!! yay!

Earlier today I had class and I actually should be studying for a test I have tomorrow!!

I got home at about 10:30 (my Flamenco class ran late 😊 with the intention of eating and studying at the same time, but Luz Helena decided to sit with me and go over all the cities in Spain one by one by one by one as if I didn't know or couldn't do it myself and as if I don't have anything better to do. So, I spent about one and a half hours slowly eating my five course of food (which were delicious) and pretending to be interested in detailed geography of Spain.

Bueno, necesito dormir ! Y puedo estudiar mañana!

Vale!

Hasta luego

flamenco!
Flamenco! I'm so jealous. I'm in love with the music and dance. I just bought myself a flamenco cd, isn't that wierd? There's this boy in one of my classes here that plays the most beautiful guitar - everything you can think of, but I think the most beautiful style is the flamenco. Have fun, chica! You'll have to teach me a few things!
