Hello everyone. Hope your all good and happy. I hear the wheather is good in England. What's happened? It was cold when I left.

We are in KL at the moment which is the capital of Malaysia. It's a cool place that is full of contrasts. We are staying in Chinatown which is crazy. At night there is a huge market down Peterling street sellign fake everything. Whatches, hangbags, shoes, dvds and even fake north face backpacks. The people selling stuff claim things are just cheaper because they are made in Malaysia but it's a well know fact that everything is fake. We have found these great pancake things that have chopped roasted peanuts in the middle though. I had them before in Malaysia and they make a great breakfast.

Since we've been here we've been up the twin towers to the skybridge. It was interesting and you get to watch a video all about the towers first. The foundations involved the biggest concreat pour in Malaysian history....... The skybridge also is able to bend and stretch as the towers move. They both move in high wings by up to 10 inches.

We ended up eating in a food court in the finacial district when we were trying to find the Loas embassy. We felt very scruffy and very out of place because everyone else were expats in shirts and siuts. It was quite fun though.

We have also been to the National Museum which was good. It has a lot about Malaysian nationalism and their aim to gain developed status by 2020. Would help if they started treating different races equaly.... at the moment only Malays can get into government and the armed forces. Not suprisingly they didn't mention that.

Today we went to get Sam's stitch taken out which was a bit of and epic adventuer. The governemt hospital is the other side of KL near Chow Kit. When we eventually foudn the place to register we had to wait ages then Sam got sent between the Dr and nurse a few times. It's all ok now and he can wash the scabby bit off.

After that we went to the Batu Caves which are a huge Hindu temple in some impresive caves. Unfortunaly they are a bit of a dump and don't actually have many shrines but lots of grim and smells of urine. Plus there were monkeys which I have been scared of ever since me and the other sam got attaked by some ficous ones. Now i just assume that all monkeys are running at me with bared teeth and rabid saliva.

We are going to pack up our bags now and head for Bangkok. Our flight leaves tomorrow at 16:10. It sounds like it's fine in Thailand so long as we are sensible. It's actually thier tenth coup since 1932 so it's fairly everyday for them by the sounds of it. I do wonder what the point of elections are if they just coup everyone instead of holding elections.

Anyway I'm quite excited as I haven't seen much of thialand. We plan to head north to Chag Mai, stopping at a few place on the way. Then we will go over to Loa. However we are just going to make it up as we go along in terms of where and when we are going.

Goodbye Malaysia .....Hello Thailand.

P.S. I have added photos to some previous blogs if you want to check them out.

Monkeys are fun
Hi Jen, the monkeys at Batu Caves are ok - if you feed them with peanuts. Some of them react quite strongly if you bear your teeth and growl - they take that as a threat posture. Saw one working its self up to leap on a little boy from the top of a pillar when he made a threat posture! Did you see the cows 'under construction' on the LHS of the steps - on the roof. Have fun in Thailand and keep your heads down - particularly Sam Dad
