Leaving Los Templarios to Calzadilla. Then on Mansilla de las mulas. Great to be more than half way to Santiago.
The road from Los Templarios to Cmalzada de Coro was along the highway virtually non descript. I should mention Terri's Spanish saved us in Sahagun as we did seem to be drifting in the city after visiting a few Pharmacies. From there we took the rural way which initially was a road in the middle of farm land. Nothing unusual in a rural setting. The only thing in Coto was there was a man taking photos. Unusual. He was taking them of Teri and another single female. I believe Teri left here Rain coat there where we took lunch. We travelled about kilometre and there was a car on the over pass with a man and a camera. Unusual again. It is a very lonely road as I would not recommend a single female to travel alone. It is very rocky, remote. A lonely road. We were happy to reach our destination at Calzadilla and a lovely little pensione. We had a nice meal sharing with a couple of Alaska ladies and a few others. We stayed at Via Trajana.

The following day was not much deferent except a few small rivers flowing through valleys. It was a blessing with fog to shelter us from the sun in the barren land. There is Roman roads preserved through this area and given the rocks under our feet I am sure they were on the same roads. I am happy to report Johnny Cash is alive ( in music) in Spain at Reliegos ( a town). We took the main path Mansilla. We stayed at El Puente.
The most exciting part of this day was this town. They had a market in the square where we bought our next day's supplies and goods for the evening meal we had 10 people for pasta , garlic and oil. We danced, the person in charged told Viagra stories and Daphine, a young person we met early on the trail from Montreal dressed in a pilgr costume. It was her birthday in 2 days. It was a great communal dinner, birthday and dance. Great time.

Celebration!
Looks like you're meeting a lot of great people along the way. That rocky road would have been challenging to walk on.
