I think I mentioned that Mansilla de las Mullas was a neat old walled town with lots of character. They had a farmers market when we arrived. Very lovely.
The 23 was a walk to Leon nearing the highway to Leon. It was relatively flat and uneventful. We arrived mid afternoon. The mission for Leon was to get Terri a rain jacket to replace the lost one. It took us 5 stores but eventually found an acceptable piece. The second was to get some medical supplies and get Terri's hair back to normal. Done! Accomplished!
Leon in a beautiful city. The first day on arrival was simply gettin to know the town a little. The following day we explored the beautiful Catherdral, several other churches, etc. Leon in our favorite. The city also was having a Medieval theme with all kinds of booths with trinkets and food. We also went to the Parador Hotel and museum. We also went to a pilgrim's mass, got a pilgrim blessing. We went to an organ concert in the Cathedral, awesome sound,
Our Camino passport was almost full so we got a new one at Santa Maria where we met Samatha and Carlos. Carlos doctored my foot with Young Living oils
. Great times.
