I wasn't planning on interneting so soon, but I forgot my umbrella and the rain took a turn for the falling, so here I am stranded for the time being.
I woke up yesterday with a nice limping surprise, to find that my right achillies isn't in an agreeable mood. I put off my running for the day and cancel some lessons that I had been considering(a 6-hour wood carving class for 10 days until I leave practically) and take it easy for the day. Easy means walk around, meet foriegners, and spend money on clothing. Things are going to get heavy for my bag soon. But this burden I can take with a smile.
I got up early today and did my usual bowl of honey banana apple oatmeal(60% honey), and before I left my damn mexican roommate decided to finally appear again. I threw a banana at him and did monkey sounds just like the monkey that visited me this morning, in an attempt to force him to apolgize over the Ipod mess. His credit card fucked bounced(is that a correct term?) and he doesn't have money to buy all the thankgas he wants so I won't bother him to much. My achillies was still bothering me but he convinced it was best to go to my yoga class. So I went. It rocked. My achillies still aches but it was worth it.
The class is on the top floor of some building down in the valley(I found a crazy stream shortcut to it so I don't even have to go the 30 minute route through town), and when I lie and strech I can see the mountains and clouds(sun sometimes!) floating by while my instructor tells me its best to close my eyes for meditative purposes. BS.
Afterwards I climbed up the long path to town and I see a large group of western youth acting and gesticulating in an all too familiar on some balcony. I catch 3 of them outside the building speaking in an all too friendly polite accents and I quickly discover there is a group of 17 Americans doing an abroad program on Tibetan studies. So I'll have some new friends for the time being. And I got an umbrella hitchhike from an American today who said there were 9 other Americans doing some weird project at the Tibetan Ex-Prisoners building(Gu Chu Sum), so after so long without the nice mumbling twang accents, I am suddenly being bombarded by a horde of "yeahs!" and "whats?". Quite pleasent.
I could ramble on for the rest of the hour but I won't. I did get into a verbal fight with a street vendor earlier which was nice because I was getting tired of being humbled. I completely forgot the sensation of the angry blood-rush to the head when suddenly in such a conflict and it really gave me this interesting mix of power and fear, although I am katan-katan.
Rain won't let up; Email time.
