Hi travel followers.

Well, the time has just flown by with almost three weeks since the last update and a lot has happened since then.

From Maroochydore we headed to Rainbow Beach and the famous Fraser Island. Two places that have been on the bucket list for a long time and I must say they did not disappoint us. What a fabulous place to visit and stay. We did roughly a 10km walk along the sand dunes and beachfront to visit the coloured sands of Rainbow Beach and the following day we headed across to Fraser Island where we did the 60 odd km drive along the beach to visit places like the Pinnacles, The wreck of the Maheno and Eli freshwater creek before heading inland to Central Station (old timber cutting area) and Lake Mackenzie for a well earned swim.

We also got to see heaps of the local Dingo’s and swim in the freshwater creeks. One of those very special days.

From Rainbow Beach we spent a few days at Tin Can Bay and then Hervey Bay before spending Easter at Maryborough catching up with some of Lyn's Aunts and Uncles. (Leanne and Keith Plus Merle and Podge). All of these places were excellent stops to just walk or drive around and relax on the beach or around the pool etc.

From Maryborough it was on to Bargara (on the coast just 11km from Bundaberg) where we caught up with another Aunt of Lyn's and spent the days walking or swimming in the sea. The temperature of the water here is roughly 23C and is just perfect for swimming. While here we also took in a tour of the Bundaberg Ginger Beer Brewery. We never knew they made so many different varieties of soft drink. Yum!!!

After a couple of days it was then on to 1770/Agnes Waters for another four days of checking out the local area. One day we did a tour out to Lady Musgrave Island where we got to walk around and across the "coral" island and then spend an hour or so just snorkelling on the most southern part of the Great Barrier Reef. Lots of beautiful coral, reef fish and quite a few very friendly Green Turtles which were so close you could almost reach out and touch them just sitting there on the coral reef.

On another day I did a fishing trip out on the river with a person (Tony) who was travelling on his own and had a boat and therefore was grateful for an offsider to help him and talk to while out fishing. Just one of those great days and things you can do when travelling this great country of ours.

Hope you like the photos.

Thanks for the comments Sue.
Yes, it is fantastic to get to all these places we have wanted to see and experience for years but never had the time.
