After our early morning flight to Oakland, which is the city near San Francisco we made our bus. It was rather awkward having to walk up the aisle past everyone but we were happy to be on the bus. We meet our tour guide who was a good guy as he organised with our travel agent to do a special pickup. We filled in our paper works and headed straight toward Mariposa, where we have two nights while visiting Yosemite National Park. We had one stop on the way at Walmart which was a great experience. We did our shop, had a good look around and headed out. We had a wait for bus and got to introducing ourselves to some other passengers over a coffee. Of the 32 people on the bus, 29 are Aussies. We are joined by an English girls, South African and Brazilian. Of the people in the trip over a third are school teachers which makes talking easy. We made it to Mariposa in the early afternoon, got our run down of the following day and headed to the local pub to meet and greet with other passengers. Mariposa is a lovely small town with a great charm. After a relaxing drink we headed for dinner before heading for bed as we had an early start the morning after.
