yes u read right. we got lost. we had time to stop in a few places on the way down south, so we decide we would all choose one place on the map and just stop there. i chose pehuen-co which is on the coast. well according to the book it is. we bought the bus ticket there and the destination said pehuajo which we thought might just be another name for it. but no.... that is actually where we went.
it was NOWHERE near the coast and when we went into a shop we asked if there was a beach nearby... the 3 oldies in there just laughed at us.. which we didn't really understand why at the time. however it wasn't all bad cos we were only in that tiny town for a day and the hotel had the most fluffiest towels and most comfortable bed i have ever slept in!!
oooh and when walking thru the centre, which was on road proabbaly less than the length of ilford exchange this little old lady started to talk to us in english and telling us all about her family... and then said 'what are u doing here??
the only things u can do here are eat an ice cream, have a cigarette and a meal'.....!!!! it was very funny and now we can really say we have been off the beaten track!! (btw- we walked the length of the town in less than 1/2hr, it was that tiny!!)
so right now we are trying to get down to the south of argentina where there is the moreno galcier. we are about half way down the country and are seeing some wildlife.. like sealions and penguins, which is pretty cool to see them in their habitat! (suhi bought some penguin earrings today which i am going to make here wear when we go to the penguin reserve tomorrow!! cheesy yes, but we have adopted a new way of thinking- the people we see one day we will never see again, so we don't mind as much when we make fools of oursleves!! our motto is: 'sod it, we ain't ever gonna see them again!')

UPDATE hmmmmm we have come to realise that it was actually the fault of the bus ticket seling guy we ended up in the wrong place. we told and
showed him the name of the place we wanted to go to (pehuen-co), but he still sold us a ticket to pejuajo. idiot.
