Sunrise over Helsinki from the plane Well, after an epic flight of around 31 hours in transit I arrived at London Heathrow airport.
I think that the best part of my journey was flying into Finland's airport Helsinki. As we flew over Finland, we could see the sun rise over the gorgeous country. The view was breathtaking, although it was at some unheard of hour!
The flight from Helsinki to Heathrow was the last leg of the journey and it was quite short- only about 2.5 hours! Which sounded like absolute heaven to all those who had travelled from Brisbane. Top tip if you fly Fin Air around Europe: take headphones and your device of choice to listen, watch or read. There is no tv (not that you really need it when you're looking over new countries and continents) and no in flight entertainment. Though having said that I quite enjoyed looking out the window.

Wow Steph that sounds like a super long trip but I bet the sunrise over a new country to explore had certain appeal. Looking forward to following the rest of your Europe trip and getting ideas for my own adventure... Stay safe and have fun!
