View from the ground
Started the day off at the Space Needle climbing 520 ft to the top in an elevator. Skies were bright and clear so many great views. Blue Angels gave us a real show with a 4 team formation and a 2 team formation buzzing near us for a long time. Then headed over to the Chihuly Exhibit which is an incredible array of blown glass sculptures - hard to imagine the skill and talent required to make these. Headed to an Underground Tour in the Pioneer Square area to see the city that lived below the streets for a time after the great fire in the 1880s - creepy and cool at the same time. Topped the day off with a night visit to the Space Needle to see the beautiful lights of the city and sunset.

In Finland he thru glass objects into a river and local children recovered them in boats - he loved the way it looked and recreated it here.

His mother called these ugly and he decided to just call them spotted which in Italian is "Macchia" so he called this with many others in the room the Macchia Forest.

He built this glass house just to accent the flower piece he created for it. It is assymetrical to play off of the Space Needle to the left and the Pacific Science Center to the right.

These windows used to look out but when the town was rebuilt and retaining wall built at every street that's what they looked out to.
