I am on a mission to find new places to go in Teda where we live. I went to my Chinese writing class last week with Matthew but we got there 20 minutes early so we went for a little walk around. In this area there is mainly a large hotel, a building where I have my class and a few bars and restaurants and then next to one of the bars we saw a poster in Chinese but had a picture of a child on with armbands. We went through the small door and followed the corridor and found the biggest swimming pool we have ever seen!! The nice lady at reception showed us around and it looked great so we went back there today while William was at nursery to check it out. There were 6 different pools in total. An adult swimming pool with lanes, a really shallow rectangle pool and 2 large round pools. There was also a small but shallow pool with really HOT water in as well as a children's pool with a large slide and 2 smaller slides!. The changing rooms were really big and lots of lockers (300 or so) and lots of
showers but only 2 toilets! The only thing that I didn't like but have to get used to while living in China was the life guards.............there were lots of them, 1 for each pool/area but they were all smoking and on theirs phones!! But other than that, Matthew and I had a great time, we spent 2 ours there and I think this was the first place we went to where no one had taken photos of Matthew so he was really happy and it was nice and quiet there with only a few people.
I also found another place to go with the boys last Friday and Matthew had great fun trying the place out!! In one of the shopping Malls there is an indoor play area for toddlers and a big play area with rides and games etc. We spent a couple of hours having lots of fun.....Matthew managed to find a shooting game so he was really happy shooting very big spiders!!! And we won lots of prizes! We are going to surprise William and take him there tomorrow, there are lots of toddler rides to try our!!!
Good news (for us!!) A new MacDonalds
has just opened!!! Yay.....we had to try it out just to make sure it was good!!!
