What a great day this has been. Today Maggie joined me in Sydney, Australia. I flew in to the international airport last night from Santiago and she arrived from Vancouver, BC this morning. I had spent the night at an airport hotel, so I had a little better rest than she did. We both lost a day getting here because we crossed the International Date Line. We have each passed through so many time zones that our biological clocks don't know WHAT time it is. At the airport we bought subway tickets and rode into the downtown area where we had lunch at a rather upscale Greek restaurant. We don't remember seeing this particular restaurant the last time we were here eight years ago. We checked into our apartment and are pleased enough with it. It is not as nice as I had hoped, but it will suit our purposes. This afternoon we shopped for groceries and other odds and ends like another adapter plug for the electric outlets. The last time we were in Sydney my only electric device was my razor which had to be charged every 10-14 days. This time I have four devices that need intermittent power from the wall socket so it is convenient to have more than one adapter. Maggie and I are both very tired and will likely go to bed early tonight. Suffice to say that we are both doing well and looking forward to revisiting old haunts in the city tomorrow.

Sight for sore eyes
I bet it was a treat for both of you to have that reunion. Absence does make the heart grow fonder. Enjoy, Ilene and Andy
