Esta mañana ya estaba en la tienda de las bicis a las 10 y pocos minutos, y finalmente he optado por un portaequipajes trasero tambien de Surly, de acero. Para cuando estaba listo para salir otra vez eran las 12. Un trabajo bien hecho lleva su tiempo... He cruzado el centro de alburquerque y he salido por el lado oeste, a medio camino de la subida a la planicie he parado a comer en una gasolinera. De ahi para arriba, un par de colinas mas y luego todo plano. El viento fuerte del este al final ha resultado ser un viento medianillo del sureste. Es mejor que tenerlo en contra pero no ha ayudado muchisimo. Finalmente me quedo en el parquin de caravanas de un casino indio. Normalmente no aceptan tiendas pero se han enrollado, y solo por 10 dolares. Me han dado un vale por una ducha en el Travel Center de camioneros que hay enfrente. El objetivo de hoy era llegar a Grants pero no ha sido posible, calculo que me quedan mas de 20 millas desde aqui. Mañana el objetivo es llegar a Gallup, que esta a 60 millas de Grants. En este sitio tambien hay la hierba de los pinchos, he conseguido encontrar un par de matas vivas. Adjunto foto de ellas y de la bici con los portas nuevos.

This morning I was in the bike store at 10 and few minutes, and have finally chosen a Surly rear rack also, also steel. As I was ready to go again it was 12. A job well done takes time ... I crossed the center alburquerque and I came out the west side , halfway the climb to the plateau have stopped to eat at a gas station. From there up, a couple of hills and later all flat. The strong east wind has finally proved to be a middle strength southeast wind. It is better than having it against but has not helped a lot. Finally I stay in the RV Park of an indian casino. Normally they not accept tents but they made an exception, and only for 10 dollars . They gave me a voucher for a shower in the Travel Center of truckers here in front. The goal today was to get to Grants but has not been possible, I think that it is more than 20 miles away. Tomorrow the goal is Gallup, which is 60 miles from Grants. On this site there is also that spiky grass, I managed to find a couple of live plants. I attach photo of them and bike with new racks.
