Brian's not a fan of cigars but he liked this guy.We woke to a drizzly, gray day. Today, while Eva, Peggie and Jerry went shopping, we went for a bike ride to the town of Frankenthal. It was much cooler today, only 15 degrees Celsius. We were brave until we got to the busy road where cars were zipping around us and we were without helmets. We decided to park the bikes and walk around the town. We also had to warm up from the cold breeze that was a little more than we planned when we left the house. It was market day in the square so we got to see all the fresh fruits and vegetables and walk and shop a little. You can see some pictures from our day. The gnome probably found his best chance at love but we weren’t willing to buy her freedom from the store. In the evening, Brian’s cousin Niklas came to visit on his way to Heidelburg. We went to a great little Italian restaurant where the owner was very fun and accommodating. We had pizza made right front of us and baked in a brick oven along with some spaghetti. Brian, Peggie and Eva even had escargot and Amy tried carpaccio
Teddy Bear
Amy hates teddy bears. for the first time. The evening ended with a dessert sampler, expresso, a little grappa, and some port. As you can see, we made a friend in the owner. Home for a nightcap and listening to some old records (30-40 years old and some from Paris). Records do sound better……
