National Cemetery
Entrance to the cemetery in Santa Fe, NM. August 4th, 2013 9:30 pm
Day 26
Today we could sleep in longer because we spent the morning in Santa Fe, NM. We took a guided tour of Santa Fe with the Loretto Line Tour Company, the first tour started at 10:00 am and lasted one hour and twenty minutes. There was time before the tour so we took a drive to the National Cemetery. We got on the road at 12:00 pm for Roswell NM., 195 miles of open road driving. Got to Roswell, NM. at 4:45 pm. Stopped at an O'Reilly's parts store for hot patches, as I thought, you can't buy them anymore, parts guy didn't know what hot patches were. Then I thought maybe Tractor Supply might have some hot or cold patches since tractors may still use tubes in their tires. They did have cold patching, tomorrow night, if time permits the tube will get a patch. Roswell has changed so much since we lived here, while in the Air Force from February 1958 to June 1960. We tried to find the El-Ve Trailer Court where we lived. That address is now a place for Rehabilitation Service. Drove out to the Bottomless
Tombstones
Perfectly in line . Lakes, nothing looks the same. Now this city gets a lot of attention because of the UFO's, when we were stationed here, it was never mentioned. Before we leave tomorrow morning we are going to try to find the printing company where Mae worked.
